1st Gen Tacoma Bed Stiffeners
Introducing our new 1st Gen Tacoma bed stiffeners. 1st Gen's (1995.5-2004) are well built trucks, and unlike the newer Tacoma's with composite beds, they do not tend to flop all over the place. HOWEVER, the moment you do a high clearance bed cut, whether it be for a high clearance bumper, or just more clearance in general, you cut out ALL of the bed supporting material. Now you will see issues with the tailgate latching correctly and even more issues if you install a bed rack, or RTT.Â
We recommend installing before you do any cutting, but it is absolutely not necessary, you may just need to pull the bed sides together with a strap if you have already cut. Bolts in place using grade 8 hardware (optional purchase or provide your own) Sold as a pair. Offered in raw steel, or satin black powder coat.Â
Allow 5-7 business days for order processing. 12-14 business days for powder coat.
